A new edition of the Anambra State Journal named "The Anambra Counsellor" has emerged, and we give God thanks. This journal is the official journal of the Anambra State Chapter of the Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON), which will be published twice annually, in February and November of each year. It is a new stem that grew from Journal of Counselling and Communication (JCC) Vol. 1, Nos. 3, 4, and 5 (ISSN 0262-8105), initially published by the chapter in 2010, 2012, and 2015, respectively.

"The Anambra Journal" has international and national coverage and is intended to promote knowledge and capacity building among counsellors locally, nationally, and globally. It can be navigated through www.cassonanambra.org/journals on the internet. This journal's educational, informative, and erudite contributions from renowned authors are intended to enrich knowledge, provide better information, and equip professional counsellors.

The Journal published well-researched empirical and theoretical papers and articles from any area in guidance and counselling, psychology, and social work. However, the opinions expressed in the articles are purely those of the contributors.

"The Anambra Counsellor" is the outlet through which Anambra State Counsellors and indeed Counsellors anywhere in the world are given opportunities to express themselves, discuss intelligently, and contribute to knowledge and development through writing

Anambra State Counsellors have actually made their mark in counselling practise in Nigeria. The production of this journal is also intended to inspire counsellors globally to desire to read and write for self-enlightenment.

I heartily congratulate the Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Edna Nkechi Ofojebe (FCASSON), and her crew members for their dedication, diligence, doggedness, and commitment towards the production of "The Anambra Counsellor" Journal, which has become a reality today. I highly appreciate the Exco members for all their struggles to give counselling in Anambra State a better look. Finally, I wish to thank counsellors in various sectors of the state for their loyalty, cooperation, and massive support and backing given to me in the laudable achievements already recorded. We are indeed a formidable team. With God's help, we can make ANACASSON a huge success with this team spirit.

I am equally pleased that another key point in the main focus of my leadership has again been realized. I return all the glory to God that, within a short space of time, my administration has made a number of visible contributions to fine-tune and roll the Chapter to an enviable height, all by the Grace of God.
